Arab Group at UN Urges Israel To Withdraw from Occupied Syrian Territory
According to reports, Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, delivered the statement on behalf of the Arab Group during a Security Council session on Wednesday.
He strongly condemned what he described as repeated Israeli incursions and attacks into Syrian territory, saying, “The Arab Group condemns in the strongest of terms all Israeli incursions and repeated attacks against the territories of the Syrian Arab Republic.”
Al-Wasel added that these actions represent “a flagrant violation of Syrian sovereignty and territorial integrity” and are inconsistent with the UN Charter and principles of international law.
He further warned that such developments pose risks not only to Syria’s stability but also to broader regional peace and security.
